i was talking to someone other day and we came upon the topic of a heaven. Being buddhist i don't believe in such a thing, but i was interested in how people are certain there is such a thing. I dont see how you can be in a place for ETERNITY and not get bored, her argument to this was that there is no boredom or unhappiness or anything like that. Confused the buggery out of me i can tell you.

I know that you are supposedly not in your human form when in heaven, but then what form are you in? And how can you not have bad emotions and yet still good ones?

Alot of people do not belive in afterlife! Just total darkness just like before we were born for eternity after we die. This means we all are in Heaven and Hell right now at the same time where you sit untill the day we die. That means reality is as good as it gets untill Jesus returns. Congratulations! Jehova's belive in heaven on earth and that when we die we do not goto heaven or hell, and when Jesus returns he will resurrect the dead and build the Paradise Heaven right here on earth for everybody. For that to be possible we have to be in Heaven right now, The entire universe with the different plants, animals, insects, The sun, the moon, planets, stars, ect.

That means planet earth including the rest of the universe is Heaven untill the day we die. Why else do you think Time is so precious to philosophers? Reality is not going to last forever.

I think it was the 144,000 mentioned in the bible. Surely cant resurect everybody, if possible the planet would have alot of people in the paradise heaven.

Afterlife is starting to become a Midevil theory for every religion not just Jehova.

Famous philosopher Plato and Chinese philosophy do not belive in the afterlife, that means this life should mean everything to you and you should value your self and loved ones as if you will not see them or your self after you die. This means you should vaule your own life as if it is the most prized possesion in the universe, even more prized then all of the money in the world. I say you should vaule your own life and your loved ones like no other because we do not have total control of our fate or destiny, only some control. This means somebody else can decide to end your life or make it a living hell right now or in the future without notice.

Unless they have change dit recently the JW's believe that the 144,000 are the 'Elect' (or Uber christians) who will be in heaven with God.

The rest of the saved (ie the Jw's) will live in a 'New Eden' here on Earth....where there will be no war, disease or strife and the lion will lie down with the lamb etc etc etc

Dont you get it, Planet earth is Heaven! The real deal! These 144,000 will be the ones that have truly found the Kingdom of heaven or the Path to immortality here on earth. They will be destroying all evil here on earth.

Right, the 'New Eden' is the Paridise Heaven, and will be possible after Jesus returns to resurrect the 144,000 to save the planet. But for now this is just Heaven and Hell, that means this is as good as it gets!

Their not, even if i fantisise about everybody existing in love i cannot make it happen OR imagine it happen. Have you ever tried to imagine the intimate details of 6 billion people?

And earth is not heaven, blatently, by almost anyones standards.

I would guess philosophers like time because your brain stops working at the time you die. Even the most sky headed philosopher is gonna admit that things might at least change slightly at that point.

Truth? right, you know the truth, and your sect alone, how lucky your not one of those 6 billion people who only THINK they've found the truth.

I'm going bed, if you found truth in the bible i'm at least as likely to find it lying under my pillow.
