Every few similarities, but many differences:
Islam requires that one submit to it, obey it and fear Allah. (Nothing about love, honor or respect.)
Muhammad taught his followers that there was nothing better (or holier) then fighting in jihad warfare.
Muhammad told his followers to offer non-Muslims only three choices: conversion to Islam, subjugation (slavery), or death.
These teachings are still taught by mainstream Islam.
Islamic distaste for all nonbelievers is a constant of Islamic history and persists today.
Islamic law treats women as nothing more then possessions of man, (Their worth is only half that of a man.) and sanctions wife-beating.
Islam’s only overarching moral principle is “if it’s good for Islam, then it is alright. Lying, cheating, stealing, killing are OK if done in Allah’s name.
The charge of “islamophobia” is used to intimidate and silence critics, when someone quotes or tells the truth about what is “actually” written in the Quran they are said to be purveyors of “hate speech.”
If one converts from Islam to Christianity they are under a mandatory death sentence from all true believers.
Islam is anything but a peaceful religion.
Does Christianity “demand” that one must follow similar teachings to be a good Christian???
If you really what to understand Islam go to Profitofdoom.net and read the book Profit of Doom. It is some 950 pages and it “is” a looong read, but the author takes you chapter-by-chapter step-by-step thought the Quran. If you take the time to read this entire book and someone then tells you the Quran and Islam are a peaceful religion you will just laugh in their face. You will also understand why we are having this "so called" war on terrorism.
