Is Satan Truly Evil? And is God truly omniscient?

In my search for belief in God I've come up with a question that has gotten me into alot of trouble. ya see I don't believe that Satan is Evil. Now to me the King James version makes no since and leaves too much out. For those of you who've read and understand the bible: Do you really believe Satan is evil and God in omniscient?

Just a question to you:

Have you searched for a God outside of Christianity? That may help, as you'll find yourself running into a lot of problems if you stick to the Bible. Its by no means concrete at all.

Well I've taken a neutral approach in belief in gods, i don't seek to worship I just seek belief. And your right I should look into other religions and I have. Everyone should take other religions into prespective, cause like you said nothing is concrete.(As far as humans know anyway)

Satan got thrown out for wanting to be the head guy. What is so wrong with that? Is God guilty too since apparently he wants to be the head also?

In parts of the Bible it has God saying things like, basicaly, it is "I that takes you high, and I that makes you low" a completely over simplised version but, I think check the Psalms for some of the snipets I'm talking about.

I believe the Bible(Jesus) says that God is Truth, I've just finished the autobiography of St. Teresa of Avila, and she makes this completely clear, that God is absolute Truth(with a capital T ) so if Satan is the opposite, "The Adversary" which is the name it/he was given in the Old Testement, it is delusion. As you can see from this it is starting to take on a guise similar to Buddhism or Hinduism.

If God is the only one doing both good and bad to us, then Satan has to be the instrument, even if Satan was completely evil in itself, considering a polar type creation, there still are redeming factors in the effects that this instrument can have, and in the fact that God is using Satan, and the fact that Satan is a creation of God (which sound like the same things but are a little different in this context at least.) Perhaps Satan is truly evil, but only as evil as God will let him be, though remaining the ultimate evil, or definition of that. Assuming any of this is true of course.

As for God's omniscience, how can one come to any real conclusions about that? If everything exists within God, as is the conlcusion of some Christians as also people of other religions, then unless God chose to somehow not be aweare of somethings, perhaps He's doing that through us, then He would be omniscient, basicaly just by the definition of God that we are usualy given. Which is kind of funny and kind of sad. Though it should be noted that usualy these ideas are based on real, if not true experiences that people have had, and are not just thought up, as I'm doing now.

I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't worry to much about these things utill you see them for yourself, because they'll only get in the way of you seeing them for yourself. Afterwards draw your conclusions, otherwise, unless nessecary, quitely let other go about whatever bussiness they wish.

Good and evil are opposites of the same energy, like hot and cold. Cold is simply the abscence of heat, evil - the abscence of good.

Satan may be understood as a term used for, the abscence of awareness of one's divinity.

God cognised as universal(or christ) consciousness, would be omniscient

Lucifer was jealous aboout a few things, he felt that GOD was making a big deal out of man and that he and the angels were better than men ,this was another reason why he was cast out of Heaven. Remember he IS A DECIEVER! He obviously told Eve that the Tree of Knowledge was a good thing and (theme here) and they (her and Adam) could be godlike if they ate from it. He was piting man(Adam & Eve) against God. The worst thing that can happen to man is to be away from God cuz then Satan gets free reing over u(us) . While cast out of Heaven he gets to rule this world which is why its so damn messed up.

The moral to this story is that Satan exploits mans weaknesses and we as people are not "perfect". I Would deduce from this all that Satan is in fact not a good "guy" to say the least.

Yeah.

I don't think Satan exists as a conscious being. But only represents all the attributes of a new soul that is as far away from god as it can be, and all the traits that come with it.

Satan = Complete ignorance. But any experience at all can provide wisdom.

I guess hell is being completekly afraid of absolutely everything. If you are afraid of everything then there's nothing that can possibly persuade you to put your trust in God and therefore you'll be afraid for eternity.

But even then I don't think it's possible for a soul to every be afraid of absolutely everything. There is always yourself. You can never be afraid of yourself, so you can never be afraiod of everything, hence you can never be in hell.

Maybe we just personify these concepts a little too much, or maybe we just read a little too deep in the bible. A god that will only love you with conditions isn't unconditional love.
