Re: Israeli-Palestine conflict, who do you side with?

Look at what you wrote. The meaning is just clarified in my post. What the fuck is wrong about writing the truth, no matter who discovered it first?

Re: Israeli-Palestine conflict, who do you side with?

What you're really saying is that counterpunch has copyrighted the truth, and that he should make up something that's not true, so you can attack that instead of the truth.

Neo-fascists never stop...

Re: Israeli-Palestine conflict, who do you side with?

I despise Hamas, but I still sort of support them in this one because of several reasons:

1) The Israeli targets are on occupied land (mostly, you can't really aim those rockets at anything.) This...

Re: High proof whiskeys?

Caol Ila makes a 60& ABV single malt. However, I don't think it is very suitable for parties. I've had mine for three months now...

Re: The taste of their salt.

I really liked the first two stanzas, as well as the last one. I didn't like the two inbetween at all. You should work on removing "you" and "I," I think they are formed well enough by the "us" in...

Re: Cheap, nutritious foods.............

Whenever I'm broke I stick to buying these ingredients:
- Canned crushed tomatoes
- Frozen pollock
- Special offer mincemeat
- Canned beans (you hardly get dried ones here)

If you live (like...

Re: I need a book for a 15 hour trip.

It's got nothing to do with 1984, but Kerouac's On the Road is a great read for travellers.

Re: canned goods

Sugar does the same job as salt. If you look at canned food, you'll find most of it in some sort of water-based solution of, usually, salt or sugar, and the osmosis does the job killing the germs.

Re: The Official Cigar Thread Part Deux - Now With More Ashtrays!

Have any of you guys tried to revive cheap or dry cigars using whisky or brandy? I bought some lame cigarillos recently, sucked them full of bourbon, and let them dry in open air for a couple of...

Re: Beer with ice?

get some plastic/metal ice cubes ffs.

I went to Dublin a few years ago, and in a bar just on the north bank of the Liffey, I witnessed the single most disturbing thing I've ever seen. A woman, I...

Re: which tv show do you absolutely hate?

CSI. All of them are rubbish, and rubbish only. Makes me sort of depressed.

And yeah, "The bald and the beautiful." Baaaaah!

Re: Good Whisky

Got a Caol Ila Cask Strength on my desk right now. Wonderful, and with 60% ABV it really kicks. Goes well with cigars.

Re: Hitler was a socialist.

This is a very interesting discussion, but I think some clarification could be useful.

What is socialism?

Socialism is a useless, meaningless term, used in daily speech to describe anything...

Re: The Official Cigar Thread Part Deux - Now With More Ashtrays!

I had a Montecristo No 3 the other day. The shop I get them from sucks, but these were just in, so the cigar was very nice. I tend to laugh at USfags who cant get proper cigars because their...

Re: Learning a language without formal institutions

You're indeed right. A creole is basically a mix of two languages that has surpassed its "parents" in use, and is learned and spoken as a first language. There must be thousands of them.

Re: How to formulate a good argument?

Depends heavily on the lecturer. My experience is that a majority of lecturers don't like them.
A basic 3-5-essay will normally do the trick with most lecturers, even those who don't know them....

Re: What is your favorite cheese?

They sell something they call "Vintage Mature Cheddar" in a store nearby, and it is pure win. However, I normally just stick to Jarlsberg. Good enough for a slice of bread, very good with a slice of...

Re: How do you take your coffee?

I usually drink my coffee pitch black, or as someone already said, with a bit of milk if it's particularly shitty.

If I go to a café I might order a Cortado, or just a quadruple espresso.

When...

Re: mall kiosk ideas

Make some food that looks good, smells good, and cooks fast. That way you'll have top quality fresh food for sale all the time, advertising itself through people's noses.
