Win98 computer registration

[ChubbyHubby]

Hi,

Is there any way to change my registration name on my computer in Win98 ... like when you look at computer info from the control panel and it shows your name ... can I change this?

Thanks

Just curious ... nothing too strange going on.

PS- how about changing an IP number?

To change the registered user go to - Start - Run

Type regedit

In Registry editor left side window click on

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software - Microsoft - Windows -

CurrentVersion

Look in the right hand side and click on "RegisteredOwner"

Back space out the name in the value data box and type in the new name - click OK button.
