Get a DVD drive.

Make sure you have a DVD drive. It will say on the front of the drawer.

If you do, download VLC and open the DVD with that.

I have a dvd drive..

and when I first got the computer it played dvds but when I had to reinstall windows it stopped working..

You must be using a program to play them it right? Or do you mean it won't load them as in you don't have a program to play them?

He asked what program you were trying to play them with, not whether the said program is able to play them. People are SO unwilling to help people help them.

What kind of dvd player is it, what kind of video card is it, what kind of computer is it (if it was built by a company), what version of windows did you uninstall, what version did you reinstall? I'm sure I can think of more questions that you're not answering. Be helpful and you'll get help.
