They are discussing their research, talking about how they're going to have meetings, making jokes and laughing, all with that sickening way of talking using big words. Fucking intellectuals. I never want to be there, bullshitting about my dissertation that I'm writing, and other stupid shit like that. It really fucking annoys me, possibly because I envy every last one of them and their ability to work hard and concentrate in an academic enviornment.

But I really feel like pulling my penis out and pissing on their table. But they're leaving. And I couldn't handle a lawsuit or being charged with something. So I'll give them dirty looks.

Who else is really annoyed by these people who come into cafes, commandeer all the tables into one giant table, and bullshit about their self-importance?

What if, like a handful of other countries, the United States required military service for at least one year for every citizen who reaches 18.

Meaning, a few weeks after the person turns 18, they go into the reserves, have a full time job during the week, and go home on weekends if they choose. This ends a few weeks after they turn 19, unless they wish to continue. This would give many people opportunities to learn a wealth of knowledge and technical skills.

The benefits of such an act could be payment of a college education for a certain number of years, or if the citizen is not planning to go to school, then cash would suffice.

Now, for the general well being of the United States, I believe this would cause a lot of people to straighten up their lives, get out of gangs, drugs, welfare, get out of their poor families, I believe it could prove to be a huge benefit.

The downsides are, of course, warfare. Being in the military, anyone would have a huge chance of being shipped off and dying.

What does totse think? What could be other benefits/downsides to this? It doesn't even matter if you don't live in the US, I would like your opinion as well.

I just said "no thanks." and went back into my room and back on the computer. But from outside I could hear some weird Chinese or Japanese music playing for a few minutes. Then it faded away. I went to look and he was gone.

Guys, I really really really fucked up just now.

I rented an apartment in a family's house and I've been staying here for nearly a month now. It's been a pretty nice place, but they have this cat that has been constantly bugging the shit out of me. He was always purring loudly in the middle of the night, he'd scratch at my door, he liked digging into the carpet (and that shit will end up costing me money), and sometimes he has even hissed and scratched me. The worst thing he did was hop onto my desk (this thing was a freakin' acrobat) and take a shit.

Anyways, I just got home from work and this cat was waiting outside my door. I opened the door nad just tried to ignore it, but it kept hissing, and as I stepped past it that sonuvabitch scratched me. Well, he managed to get my ankle and I could feel it bleeding, so I kinda kicked it really really hard. It was just instinct...anyone would have done the same. So, I first kicked it into my door (it was partially open), and then it kept hissing at me, so I had to kick it again. This time I kicked it out of my room. There's a room adjacent to mine, so it flew about 2 meters and then knocked the adjacent door open.

I heard some pretty loud snaps, and it's not moving.

Jesus guys, wtf am I gonna do though? The family has a bunch of kids that love this cat, and even though it was just an accident I'm sure as hell the parents (my landlords) will be pissed.

I'm thinking I should jsut get rid of the body. I mean, if they can't find the cat they aren't going to jump to the conclusion that I killed it, right? Garbage pick up is today, so if I put it with the rest of my trash and take it out I don't think they'll ever find it. Or there is another person renting a room here. I could maybe put it under her bed, or no, I could put it behind her door and then close it. This way, she'll open the door and hit the dead cat, and then she'll think she did it.

Anyways, fuck. FUCK FUCK FUCK I need more ideas guys. The family usually gets home at about 6, so I only have an hour. HELP
