View Full Version : About the whole God thing...
Well, I'm kinda 50/50 on the whole 'Is there a God?' thing...
You see, I half belive that everything is made up of cells, and that all these cells just came together and made us, and the world, and the universe, and how could there be a God anyway? How could someone just... Create themselves like that and have so called 'magical powers'??
But then again... how was the universe made? How were these cells made? how did all these elements come together to create water, and metal, and all this other stuff? Who created it?
Well, I don't know right now... So I guess I'll know when I die.

That's if God exists. If he doesn't, I doubt that you'll become knowledgeable of the reality of existence just from dying.

There are Christians that argue that God made the universe, and that science is a way of unfolding how His world works.
Not believing in God, I find that the creation of the universe isn't really important as of now. I think what's important is what's happening now, and what will happen.
But, since most Totseans like to argue this type of shit, let's go!
I think most Christians argue that God is infinite, therefore, creating Earth was no biggie for him.
I would believe something along the lines that the Universe manifested.
I don't have any tangible evidence supporting this, but to me, it seems more plausible than a concept of a God.
Infinity or manifestation is the basic concept to understand in the creation of our Universe. There's no other way around it.
I've always thought of it this way...
Say you have an ant farm. You take the ants, and put them in a pitch black room with a heatlamp and a few flashlights. You fill up their ant farm before you place the ants in there, with water, food, and all the other stuff they need. You defrost the ants from the fridge (They used to come frozen, I guess they still do) and put them in the farm, and let it sit. They never see you, but you have guided them.
Now, lets pretend ants have some sort of mental capacity. They will begin to theorize what some of this stuff out in the great blackness that surrounds their home is. There is a light that provides heat and light. They may theorize that it is a natural phenomena, and so on. However, it is in place because of you, who has really become their god. Do you follow? I think it helps to put things in perspective, and although that was a really dumb way to put it, I've thought about it that way. The ants can't prove you were there- but they can't prove you weren't.

you cannot prove god is real thats why it is faith. but you can use logic to figure it out your self. This is how i feel if you look at the laws of the universe they are so perfect only a superior being could have created them. An if you are a muslim or even a christian and you follow it the way you are really supposed to you will have a good life. because both religions say that everything you accomplish should be helpful and productive. and if we all followed thes laws we would all be alot happier.
