he says when you do shrooms you get into an extremely different place where you can actually figure out the meaning of life and important questions of the sort. uhh is this true?
Depends on whether or not you want to.
I did.

Shrooms never made me figure out the meaning of life or anything. But, it was fun anyways. I say go for it.
Cheers,

Well, I find that it is any drug in general. When I smoke pot, I realise all the trouble and sorrow I cause to my parents as well as everyone else. I realise my wrongs.
Never tried shrooms, but If I did, I think I would come out of it as a teacher of the Lord.

Yeah, the shrooms can make you have enlightening revelations. They can also take you to hell.

They give you an experience which could be described as a subtle facet of heaven, and from that gives you a whole other aspect to philosophise about.

Shrooms are pretty good in opening your mind to new ideas. The only problem with them is that you can't unlearn it. Unbiased self-reflection is a hell of a thing on mushrooms. I age 6 grams of some very potent shrooms once and stared into a toilet for 2 hours contemplating evey key event in my life that's gotten me to where I am in life. I learned a lot about myself that night. I don't do shrooms, I go on a shamanistic vision quest.
are shrooms addictive?? you know like when you do them once your never gonna get away from them? sorry for the stupid question

But you just said you ate shrooms....?? My friends and I are about to trip shrooms in the forest!
are shrooms addictive??
Only in the same dimension in which your favorite food is addictive, or the habits of your everyday schedule is addictive. Depends on your personality.
Man mushrooms just make you think your having enlightening experiances. In reality your just an idiot.

^^ The mind is the most powerful thing ever. Copmuters can get as strong as they want, but they can never have free will, or true emotions. If you convince someones mind that they are dead, they will die. If you convince them that they met god, they will beleive that they have met god.
I beleive a while ago there was a thread in BLTC about how one could teach oneself how to self-induce hallucinations. This is quite similar to that. Whether it is real or not, your mind beleives that it is, therefore it affects the rest of you accordingly.
People always talk about reaching these funny states of mind when on drugs...
But will the experience still have any significance when you're sober again?
Will you still know the meaning of life all of a sudden?
I've never done any drugs, but it seems fun like hell... Err, or fun like heaven...

It's the same thing with LSD and Mescaline.
All hallucinogens like those are known to give the users profound life-changing spiritual expieriences and that was Timothy Leary's ideology. He felt for the people in prison that where all driven to crimes like murder. He didn't see it was necessary to kill them or let them rot in prison for the rest of there life. So he thought they should be given LSD to the prisoners to change them. Now it's a known fact that it can do it, but it can also give unwanted life-changing spiritual experiences. Thats why im a bit afraid to try them.
How can you find the meaning to life when there is none?
Ive met myself, God, and figured out time travel on shrooms.

A little depressing don't you think? I may not be a 'religious' person per say, but I can't help but remember spending countless hours as a child in amazement watching the tiny little creatures in a creek behind my house and although that can be chalked off to a young exploring mind (before being jilted by the harshness of life that others impose on us), it pales to the complexities
of our existence, wouldn't you say?
Don't know the meaning myself, and trust me I've tried figuring it out, but I can't help but hoping the pain and struggles I've endured end up having some point.
Easy to say this, and maybe I read to much into your post, but cheer up--- you could have my f'd up life. :> )
