View Full Version : If God is so powerful...
...how is he only one God? I mean, if I was that powerful, I'd be more than one God. I'd also have 7 penises, 12 stomachs and 14 brains, not to mention 26 light-years of bowels.

There is only one source of all, but He/She/It/Them/Whatever does not micromanage.
There are any number of various lesser gods, spirits, devas, guardian angels, and such to handle the small stuff.

Why only one? Is someone afraid of choice? Or are religious people just too stupid to count beyond one?

Dude, you got it all wrong. God made Earth so he could make Man who could look at Earth and then believe in and worship God. Makes perfect fucking sense doesn't it? I mean, what, did you believe that we're microscopic specks in a never-ending universe? Puh-leeze, God loves you, man, and he wants you to join him in the sky for a great big party, harps and all. Oh, yeah, one other thing, your special, because God made you just like everyone else.

Maybe the other planets already did, or someday will poduce life, only in a completely different form that is on earth. Maybe, instead of bacteria as a basis, there will be a knew, profound life form that will evolve into intelligent life.

Chances of wew forms of highly different life are extremely limited because of our current extremely narrow definition of life.

yeah if we expand the definition of life to include inanimate objects, the universe is full of life, problem solved.

Well, that's only the human's definition of life. The universe must hold a bigger and/or different definition. Bigger, as in a whole, and different, as in a whole different way life creates itself, multiplies, etc.
